My passion for real estate started young, growing up in my family's business in Trinidad and Tobago. After moving to New York City, I made a name for myself as a dedicated real estate professional, always putting my clients first.
Now in Los Angeles, with over two decades of experience in residential sales, commercial real estate, and home flipping, I’m proud to have contributed to the creation of CA Auction Homes.

Hi, I’m Jody Edwards. My journey has taken me through the worlds of business, real estate, and community involvement. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, where I found my passion in Accounting and Marketing.
My career has been quite the adventure, ranging from CFO to COO roles in various companies where I’ve focused on driving growth and strategic success. But my interests don’t stop at the corporate world. Community involvement is close to my heart. Serving on boards and working with those in our communities gives me the chance to make a real difference and contribute to positive change, which is something I’m deeply passionate about.
One of the most exciting chapters in my journey has been partnering with my husband Robert Heap and friend, Stacy Elliott, to create CA Auction Homes. Together, we’re shaking up the real estate world with our “no reserve home auction” model, making affordable housing a reality for more Californians.
Through my journey, I like to make a positive impact wherever I can. I can’t wait to see the change we make in people’s lives with this new endeavor.

Hi, I’m Robert Heap. I’m a Californian with a deep love for innovations, real estate, and entrepreneurship. Together with my wife, Jody Edwards, we’ve built a wonderful life in Simi Valley, CA, driven by shared values and big dreams.
I studied Mechanical Engineering at Cal Poly Pomona, and for more than 40 years, I’ve had the privilege of working on some truly great projects. My journey didn’t stop at engineering. Along the way, I became a licensed General Contractor, Real Estate Agent, and experience loan officer in California, all coupled together gave me a unique perspective on the state’s real estate market.
One day, an idea sparked between Jody, and our friend Stacy Elliott, and me, leading to the creation of CA Auction Homes. Our goal? To make homeownership in California more accessible through no-reserve home auctions. We’re working to take the stress out of buying a home, making it possible for more people to achieve their dreams of being able to afford a home in Southern California.
I’m passionate about helping fellow Californians own homes without the financial burden, and CA Auction Homes is our way of making that happen. Our journey reflects our belief in progress, innovation, possibilities, and the power of change.
